The idea of a Corvette club for Hardin County was first conceived by Bob and Nancy Schramm, Bob Beyerlein, and Larry Keene in November 2008 at the Muldraugh Dairy Queen. The first official meeting was held on December 10, 2008. Joining the club was Alan Abel. The club's official name, Classic Corvettes KY, was adopted and additional members, Melvin and Linda Gregory, Ron and Lois Cousins, and Steve Croston, were added. By the end of 2009, the club had grown to 35 members.
Charitable donations were made to Hosparus and Helping Hand of Hope in December 2009. Donations have continued every year since to various charities. CCKY supports Warm Blessings, Feeding America, WHAS Crusade for Children, FOHCAS, Cruisin' the Heartland, Helping Hand of Hope, Mission Hope for Kids and Veterans Tribute Wall.
Meetings are the second Sunday of each month at 2:00pm, Elizabethtown First Christian Church, 1811 N. Miles, Elizabethtown, KY. No meeting in May.
