The idea of a Corvette club for Hardin County was first conceived by Bob and Nancy Schramm, Bob Beyerlein, and Larry Keene in November 2008 at the Muldraugh Dairy Queen. The first official meeting was held on December 10, 2008. Joining the club was Alan Abel. The club's official name, Classic Corvettes KY, was adopted and additional members, Melvin and Linda Gregory, Ron and Lois Cousins, and Steve Croston, were added. By the end of 2009, the club had grown to 35 members.
Charitable donations were made to Hosparus and Helping Hand in December 2009. Donations have continued every year since to various charities. Currently CCKY supports Warm Blessings, Feeding America, Cruisin' the Heartland, Mission Hope for Kids and Helping Hand of Hope.
The club enjoys Tuesday night dinners (every other Tuesday), cruises to various locations, participating in Cruisin' the Heartland, NCM track and Museum, showing cars, and attending other car club activities.
Meetings are held the second Sunday of each month in the Nolin RECC meeting room. Corvette car club in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Kentucky car club Classic Corvettes
